My go to weather app on my MacBook Air

The latest update has made Weatherclip a much improved app (I guess at leqast for those of us running 10.9.x). The important weather info at my fingertips with details just a click away via Weather Underground. I like the fact that you can search on the weather station ID and save it to your favorite locations. I do hope they fix it for all those having issues with the update because this is definitely a great weather app. So it looks like it’s a love hate relationship for their customers. Once th bugs are fixed I hope everyone updates their reviews.

Great App for The Menubar

For a quick scan of the day’s weather, and the next few days, it does what it does very well. It has all the info I need right on my desktop. Great app.

Great menubar app

This is a great little menubar app. For a quick glance or, with one click, you can dig a little deeper. I love the iPhone app also. I’m running the Yosemite beta and it works great.

Latest Update is Great - Dew Point is BACK!!!!

Yippie!!!! Developer actually ‘responds’ … listens… and considers suggestions… and then promptly acts. Requested return of Dew Point and the developer did it right away … and it’s great. THANK YOU SO MUCH !!!!!!!!!!!

Very good overall

I like this app as it is able to pull weather data from a station that is only a few miles from my house. One bug that I have noticed is that the “conditions” icon in the menu bar remains a sun instead of a moon, even after sunset. The icon is correct within the program itself however. It would be nice to have heat index / wind chill values in addition to the dew point. One last suggestion is that the radar have zoom in/out and play/pause controls.

I can’t think of anything to add or complain about...

All I started out wanting was an app where I could see the temperature in my menubar. Calender is up there, along with a dozen other things. I have accuweather which is great, and puts the temperature in the dock, which is not where my brain wants to look for temperature. So, I found this little treasure. In addition to the current temperature, there is all the other weather and outside info you could want. The app is pretty, works well, and the tutorial and support are great. All for a couple of bucks. Well worth it. So, it gets 5 stars.

just right little weather app!

I was looking for a weather app that didn’t take up dock space but could easily be accessed from my screen. Weatherclip is just right that way: menu bar handy with instant info on weather conditions, including the ability to quickly click to hourly weather. It’s not complicated, but does the trick, esp. with the radar right in view (also an easy click if you want to go to the website for more). I figured it was 4 star worthy, and then when I wrote with a concern and quickly received a response with directions to fix it (it kept disappearing when I’d restart my older computer) I decided the quick and intelligent help was worth another star! Easily worth the $2.

Love the app, use it all the time

I love this app and use it all the time. It’s very efficiently put together and nicely designed, and I always check it before I get on the road. There is an option to have it start automatically on System Login, and that’s not happening for me, but it doesn’t matter.

Won’t start on login

I select the option to open at login but it doesn’t work. Thats the whole reason i bought this app was to always have the weather on the menu bar. Would be 5 stars if they fix this issue and soon.

Great App

Weatherclip is a great app with great technical support. I highly recommend this app.

great menubar app

thanks for adding the day and night icons in the menubar

Love this little app!

This little app does exactly what I wanted it to, display my personal WU station information, add other locations I monitor and do it all easily! Easy to understand, easy to configure…what else would you need? These three things would make this app better: Temperature in menu bar needs decimals; would love to see 79.6 rather than 79 or 80 (does this round up temperatures?) Weather alerts based on active area Rapid Fire updates or at least updates more often than 5 minutes. Add these requests and I will be ONE HAPPY CAMPER, would even pay more and award that last star!

Love this app.

I love this app and the user interface. It’s small and compact, yet displays all the info I actually want. It’s well laid out. The only problem I’m having is that it only displays the leftmost digit of the % chance of rain for the current day. Would like to see an enhancement where I can assign a keyboard function key to show/hide the weather window. Running on iMac 27”, 12 GB RAM with OS X 10.10.1

Very nice…exactly what I was looking for.

I have asked for the station ID to be included in the title bar. No real complaints yet. CPU time isn’t too bad….about 1% somtimes less.

Reliable, very well designed, just plain works!

After waiting for months for Degrees Pro to get fixed, I decided to move on. Read all the reviews aobut WeatherClip and decided it is time to try it out. Man, worked first shot - simple to set up, reliable, and very well written. Kudos to the developer, EXCELLENT works! Don

great app

I’ve tried several menu bar weather apps, and this one is by far the best. Props to the developer.

Weather Clip

This is the best weather app for most users. It’s simple and gives great information. I also appreciate the radar display, it gives you an idea of what’s headed your way. Thank you Gavin and please keep us up to date. Thanks Bob...

WeathrClip

Terribly inaccurate. Off by 10 degrees from what is on WU that they are supposed to be reporting. Sent email to support and it bounced as undeliverable. Very sad.

Decent, but will not open at startup, despite settings

The option to open at startup is set in settings, but it never will start on its on after a power up or restart. It’s a nice interface with easy access to the forecasts, but I’m concerned because a review a little over a week ago says that the data is inaccurate. It seems OK for my area.

Excellent and useful

This app does exactly what I wanted — a regularly updated, unobtrusive indication of the temperature and current weather in my menubar, with a pulldown menu that shows a bit more. And there’s a link to Weather Underground to boot. No problems that I can see. It just does its job. Excellent!
